I know,I have the answer,your question is a conundrum.
The Doctor never heard of pneumonia because he is deaf.Am I right or am I right.!!.
You could go to a hospital but they would ask you who the "someone have pneumonia" is.???

First of all your friend needs a new doctor! Symptoms of Pneumonia include fever, cough, lack of energy, and a rattling or wheezing when you breath. If your friend has those symptoms, especially with fever, he should go to a doctor. Pneumonia is diagnosed with a chest x-ray. He can try a "doc in the box" walk in clinic, or an emergency room if he is feeling too bad!

Umm, what kind of doctor has never heard of pneumonia? I don't know if that's a licensed physician, if they say that they've not heard of pneumonia. Anyway, a chest x-ray will show whether pneumonia is present.

pneumonia, I just went through a 5 1/2 month fight with a rare strain that snowballed my health.
I started out coughing and later got my breathing corrupted. I was in and out of the hospital 3 times because it spread from my lower left lobe into my middle right lobe.
It's no joke to wait around with. Get a second opinion! Get to a hospital if necessary. I waited, now I got tiny scars (forgot name they are called), but I can best describe them as tiny spider webs over both my lungs that is non-reversable. Because of them as my lungs expand and retract, I got pain I have to live with for the rest of my life. I have to carry a inhaler and take breathing treatments every now and again.
Seek treatment now. Simple X-rays, blood tests and MRI can detect if it is pneumonia or not. Sooner you find out what ever it is, the better for you and your future!
Best wishes!

Any Dr. knows what pneumonia is. Tell him to go to the emergency room at a local hospital for evaluation.

Your first stop should be the doctor or emergency room. You will likely need an x-ray and other tests to tell for sure. You can look on line at www.webmd.com for symptoms but only a doctor can tell you for sure. And if you have it, you need to get the medicine right away! If you don't have but think you might, sounds like you are still pretty sick - so go to the doctor! Hope you feel better soon!
