first of all, there is no such thing as white or black magick (magick is used to seperate true magic from stage magic). its in the heart of the witch. second, witchcraft is a religion & is also called wicca. wiccans (or witches) follow the wiccan rede, which states, "an it harm non, do what thou will". even if witches dont follow this, the follow their own morals which pretty much say the same thing. know that searching for a faith thats right 4 u is not wrong, not at all. witchcraft is a nature-based religion that seeks 2 reconnect w/ nature in all of its aspects. the best thing is that u can incorporate things from other faiths & mold your craft 2 fit u. DONT LET ANYONE TELL U WITCHCRAFT IS EVIL! i really hope this helps u on this journey & below is 2 websites that will really help u on your search.

There are no 2 magics. Magic is magic without all the color differentiation. Please consider magic as electricity. It can light up your room or it can burn down your house. It's nature doesn't change with either event. Magic is the same. It can be used for good or ill but the essence of magic does not change. Learning magic is learning to harness energy and redirect it to do your bidding. It is not easy and not always successful although you will most likely see an effect, one way or another. Many practitioners of magic write their own spells but again, it's much more than waving a wand and repeating a bunch of words. To learn you need to understand and that can only come from study and practice. If you know of someone reputable who would be willing to teach (most will require you to be at least 18), so much the better.

Witchcraft is neither "white" nor "black" -- it's a technique, like prayer.
Witchcraft 101 would go something like this, at least as I was taught: All things in the universe are interconnected by energy, which some witches (including Wiccans) perceive as Divine in nature. This is how witchcraft works: by focussing my intent, and using sympathetic correspondances (certain herbs for courage, for example), I can create an amulet using those herbs which will stimulate courage in the person who wears it. Similarly, by using a lock of hair from a person who is ill, I can (with their permission) set energies in motion that will help them to heal.
And to clear up a point made by a previous poster... most Wiccans are witches, but not all witches are Wiccans. The two terms are NOT interchangeable. Witchcraft can be practiced in a wide variety of religious contexts, and sometimes with no religious beliefs at all.
As a Wiccan, I operate by the Wiccan Rede: "If you harm none, do what you will". I also operate by the Law of Threefold Return: "Whatever you do, for good or ill, comes back upon you three times over." To me, this is one of the most important things to keep in mind about witchcraft: It is NOT a game, or a toy. It is a serious process of setting energies in motion, some of them quite large. And if you're not careful, the backlash can be very nasty.
Say, for example, you do a spell to get $2000 to pay a bill, but do not specify "with harm to none" or any other conditions. You might end up getting that $2000 dollars -- because you slipped on some ice, broke your arm, and are getting an insurance settlement worth $2000. Each spell has to be carefully thought out and prepared, and executed with focus, or else nothing at all is going to happen.
Witchcraft is not something you learn how to do overnight. It's a process of becoming attuned to yourself and the universe around you. One of the first lessons any Wiccan is taught is: "Know thyself." This isn't easy, and often it isn't pretty, but it IS necessary.

If you are really studying magic you will find it is not so easily placed into white or black. Spells can be used to do harm or to help heal, but it also needs to be remembered that even good intentions can have bad results. It is best to study long and hard before attempting any spell work.
Studying and practicing are two different things. You could practice without studying and you can study without practicing. Some will tell you it is all bad, but I personally find those who wish you to ignore the whole matter do so either out of ignorance or a desire to better control you and your choices. The more you know about anything, the stronger and better you will be.
My opinion is it is better to know what you are doing after having really studied the subject than to practice in ignorance.

Well if you're Christian then yes. There really isn't such a thing as a Christian Witch - the two are paradoxical. Witchcraft is condemned in the Bible. Period. End of story.
Magic is based on intent. Magic is not bad. There is no such thing as black magic or white magic. Some who practice the art created these two categories because they didn't want people to think they were Devil worshippers etc. In reality, there is no distinction.

Witchcraft is witchcraft. It doesn't matter if it's "white" magic. Any magic is bad magic.
There are many scriptures in the Holy Bible, check them out...

“Do not eat meat that has not been drained of its blood.“Do not practice fortune-telling or witchcraft.
Leviticus 19:25-27 (in Context)

1 Samuel 15:23
Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft, and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols. So because you have rejected the command of the Lord,he has rejected you as king.”
1 Samuel 15:22-24 (in Context)
2 Chronicles 33:6
Manasseh also sacrificed his own sons in the fire in the valley of Ben-Hinnom. He practiced sorcery, divination, and witchcraft, and he consulted with mediums and psychics. He did much that was evil in the Lord’s sight, arousing his anger.
2 Chronicles 33:5-7 (in Context)
Isaiah 47:9
Well, both these things will come upon you in a moment:widowhood and the loss of your children.Yes, these calamities will come upon you, despite all your witchcraft and magic.

Based in the way you phrased your question I think you have already made up your mind and are looking for validation from your fellow Christian Fundies. It is quite apparent that anyone who is into witchcraft in any way is going to be blown off anyway because it will not matter to you what we say.
Thanks for the 2 points anyway.

Magic, of course, has always been associated with the occult.* Many people in both ancient and modern times believe that the magic practiced by witches is performed to bring harm to others. Witches are credited with the power to inflict severe pain and even death by means of magic. Traditionally, witches have been blamed for an almost limitless array of misfortunes, including illness, death, and crop failure.
Witches today strongly deny such charges. While acknowledging the existence of the occasional rogue witch who pursues evil, most maintain that their magic is used to bring benefits, not harm. Wiccans teach that the effects of magic will return threefold to the person practicing it and say that this is a major deterrent to the pronouncing of curses. Examples of this so-called benevolent magic include spells to protect yourself, to purify your home from negative energy left behind by former tenants, to make a person fall in love with you, to promote healing and health, to prevent the loss of your job, and to acquire money. With such sweeping powers being attributed to witchcraft, it is not surprising that it has become so popular.
Items used in magic
The Bible, however, makes no distinction between magic that is good and magic that is evil. In the Law given to Moses, God made his position quite clear. He said: "You must not practice magic." (Leviticus 19:26) We also read: "There should not be found in you . . . a practicer of magic or anyone who looks for omens or a sorcerer, or one who binds others with a spell or anyone who consults a spirit medium."—Deuteronomy 18:10, 11.
Why did God say that? It is not because he intends to deny us what is beneficial. Jehovah gave these laws to his people because he loved them and did not want them to become enslaved by fear and superstition. Instead, he invites his servants to approach him for the things they need. He is the Giver of "every good gift and every perfect present." (James 1:17) The apostle John assured fellow believers: "Whatever we ask we receive from [God], because we are observing his commandments and are doing the things that are pleasing in his eyes."—1 John 3:22.

No, I don't believe in "white" magic, unless of course you're talking about God's power which is more powerful "magic" than any other magic because the power of the Devil came from God. God didn't create Satan evil, Satan chose to be like that. Why use the Devil's magic when you could have the power of a God who loved you enough to send His Son to die on the cross for you?

I guess that is going to depend.
If you are a christian, then you should know that the reason magic is bad is because ... whether 'white' or 'black' magic ... it's calling on powers from a source other than God.
If you're using a power anything other than God given ... then it's bad.
