Julio Cesar Chavez
Salvador Sanchez
Alexis Arguello

With the fights being fought at 130 lbs. Could he have beaten either of the 3?

Sanchez, a tremendous counter puncher, would pot shot him as Manny bored in. Sanchez by TKO round 8.
Chavez would back him up with a relentless body attack, Manny doesn't fight well going backwards. Chavez by TKO or KO round 9.
Arguello fight would last longer because Alexis was more economical with his punches, and wouldn't press the fight until he had Manny hurt or in a position where he could really make his combinations count. Arguello by KO round 12.
Pancho as usual great question.

The blogbaba agrees, it's a great question and the answer is Manny wouldn't have fared well against any of them, in there prime Chavez and Sanchez would have been to much for Manny, and would have walked Pacquiao down. I think Arguello would have had the toughest time of the three with Pacquiao, but still would have took Manny.

He might have a puncher's risk against Hearns and Trinidad, yet I in basic terms realistically see him having a raffle against Trinidad. Pacquiao does not have the cost of Meldrick Taylor, nor the boxing or shielding qualifications of Whitaker and no-one knocks out a first-rate Chavez so he will circulate down interior the 8th to Julio. Leonard could no longer worry Hearns along with his speed in any respect and Manny does not have the chin to get in on the brink of Hearns so as that one is a 5th around KO. Pernell is purely too slick and a greater ideal counterpuncher than Marquez so as that one would be a normal UD for "candy Pea" finally, i believe that Felix Trinidad might blast him out of there speedier than each and each individual which includes Hearns.those matchups are all incorrect for Manny, ordinarily because of the fact of length, yet although, Chavez and Whitaker at easy-weight nonetheless beat him. Manny is going 0-4 against those adult adult males.

The problem with Pacquiao is that he is not a great defensive fighter who comes straight at you. I think JC Chavez would KO him early (like the 4th) because he has too much power, Sanchez would stop him with a TKO in the 7th with lots of counter right hands and will cut him up coming in(would be an entertaining fight. Alexis would catch him as he would carelessly come straight in and would KO in about 6.

Great question Pancho! Chavez would press the action in a slugfest firing lots of mean hooks and body shot's. He would win in 10 rounds. Sanchez would methodically carve him up with his supeior boxing ability and take all that Pac Man can dish out with his granite chin and win by 7th round knockout. Arguello would have took his time and countered him each time he missed with well timed right crosses much like he done against Mancini and wear him down eventually knocking him out in the 11th round.

He is not in Chavez's or Arguello's league. He would be competitive with Sanchez but Sanchez's career ended prematurely. I don't think he would beat any of them.
