30'X15': So long and skinny. Floors are light hardwood, pool table is dark stained, room is white right now and there is a west facing plate glass window. Not sure what color would help bring out the hardwood floors and table the best, everything else in the room can be changed. Also thinking about doing crown molding, any suggestions?

A gold or warm beige tone willl enhance the light wood floor and make the dark table "pop" out.
A dark red (like a wine-color) or a dark fir green will make the room more close and cozy but with the big window and not a lot of other furniture you can get away with it. Make sure they are warm tones not cool.
Get some swatches and pin them on the walls for a few days. Or buy just a pint of paint colors you want to try & dab them on the walls. Observe color in morning, afternoon and evening artificial light,l then choose the one you like best.
Crown molding is always nice and adds value to the room by defining the height.

Don't worry about the pool table. Worry about the floors and any furniture you have in there. With light floors, you want light walls. A soft green is always nice and relaxing. Get some paint chips from a paint store and start with the whites. They have some beautiful tones in the white group. The crown molding should be painted an ivory or off white that blends with the color you selected. Never paint the molding darker than the room. It cheapens the appearance.

paint the walls sage green, and add a dark green glass billiard light fixture above the pool table. paint the trim and crown molding deep, dark brown.
