well, i'm not a dad but i have one.first- there is no such thing as a perfect daughter or son. as young women we try to do things that we think will make our dads happy. hell, i spent the better half of my life doing just that.i think it's just human nature. we wait for that moment of praise,the pat on the back,the big hug and sometimes it doesn't happen so we try harder. the truth is,i think, that sometimes dads just don't know how to express their pride or love for us so we sometimes think we need to do better when all along we were the" perfect" child, despite our shortcomings or maybe because of them. dad's and their daughters are a breed of their own. don't try to be perfect. no one is really.

personally, I don't think you should be trying to be a perfect daughter for your dad. It doesn't make sense
