I think anything you take into your blood stream can ruin memory or affect the brain... lots of prescription drugs are recognised for doing this... side effects can seem subtle until you wake up one morning and don't know your own name.....
I've never quite worked out the reason why people think of keeping their body fit but not their brain.. and the brain is the most important part of the body...
If you don't need the sudafed medically ... then don't take it...
