Why bash Catholics?

So many people calling themselves Christians bash our Church and mock our beliefs. Their attacks are usually based on false or incomplete information due to either a lack of communication with Catholics or a lack of education about us. Why do that? Is Jesus the Prince of Peace or the Prince of picking arguments with other folks? Could you please stop?

The Catholic-bashing on this site does get a bit tiresome, especially when the reasons behind it are so poorly researched. However, people are also busy bashing Muslims, Wiccans, Jehovah's Witnesses, Scientologists, Mormons and every other imaginable faith group on here. Don't have a specific faith? Don't worry, the atheists and agnostics get jumped on, as well. It's unfortunate, but it's just part of life here on YA.

It's not only Catholics that recieve the bashing, but i do agree with you that it does come from false information or not enough research. Although... sometimes that false information comes from someone who calls themselves a Catholic. There are so many people trying to figure themselves out and figure out their beliefs that's it's hard to keep it to the simple truth and the Word of God.
You also have to realize that sometimes its the Catholics doing the bashing. There are sooooo many people in the world and its sad that one catholic can ruin things for another christian or visa-versa. Just stand your ground and turn your cheek from it all.

Yes why bash Catholics? Catholic is the first Christian religion and all others came from that church. Every good Christian sees the Pope as the leader of all Christians. I am not Catholic but I do see things that way. When the Pope speaks, I listen. He is a thousand times holier then I will ever be.

But maybe, just maybe, if the Catholic Church is BAD enough - maybe if it isn't even Christian, but is some kind of cultish pagan mystery religion - then just maybe the rebellion that spawned the Protestant tradition could be justified.

I used to be a Catholic. The rest of my family still is. The Roman Catholic Church is full of everything Jesus Christ despises.....Jesus Christ warned His apostles about a false church that will start to creep its way in to His Church and take it over and distort His true teachings. ..........Jesus Christ is also of TRUTH.........Not .......of half truths and misconceptions, misinterpretations, lawlessness, paganism, mysticism, ritualism, syncretism, Idolatry, adding to scripture , or taking away.........practicing the traditions of men and having a form of Godliness but denying its power.
