I met this guy off myspace who had been trying to pursue me for awhile. I agreed to meet him for dinner. I am a single mom, and he is a single dad, so we hit it off pretty well and agreed to see each other again. The date ended with a nice kiss and that was that. The following day he proceeds to text me dirty messages and how he couldn't wait to have sex with me. I played back with him but then it got really extreme and that is all he seems to text me about now. He does not even call, just text. Finally today, I texted him back after he sent me yet another dirty message and stated "is sex all you think about? I have a lot more to offer than what is between my legs. I think you have the wrong impression of me and what I am about". He wrote back "sorry, I'll leave you alone then". I haven't heard from him since. What gives guys the idea that this is appropriate even to begin with? I feel partly responsible because i participated initially but then it got to be too much!

No this isn't your fault. This guys obviously doesn't know how to treat a lady. He was interested in just sex and nothing else and you wanted more than that. Just because you played along doesn't mean that sex was all you were interested in. He had one thing on his mind. Don't sweat it there are plenty of good men out there. Good Luck!

OK first off myspace is the DEVIL... all that comes from that site is High School Drama... basically... grow up. 2nd... why did you go met some whack job thats got an obsession with sex? Wait that's 90% of all men... still. Maybe thats the reason he's single. 3rd.. you opened your own can of worms by even 'playing along' with the sex text... you shouldn't have done that. You can still flirt, but don't go jumping off the deep end, and go right to sex after just meting this guy less then 24 hrs ago...
Personaly it sounds like all he wanted was 'a good ole weekend, booty call, and i'll call ya when i feel like knockin boots' kind of time...

You got played.

oh honey, back up. Totally not your fault. It's fun to flirt, even sexy flirting, to a point, but when it's an all the time thing, that needs to stop. Good for you for stopping it.

Hey, you were a good sport at first and he just wouldn't let it go. He's a dog. He just wanted to get laid. Be glad you haven't heard anything else from him.
