Sure, the only problem that you may have is that your emergency brake may no longer work.

Yes the van is still safe to drive, you just need to be careful with parking. If you park on a hill or slope the emergency brake may not work well enough now to help. I killed my e-brake once by driving with it on too many times. You may want to have it looked at. It is a real pain to drive around and look for parking that is completely flat.

Probably not, but I recommend that you have the brake pads and rotors inspected ASAP. You may have done some damage to them which will cause problems/failures later on.
