I am buying a new house (it's only about 6 years old), anyways, the bedroom I plan on making my son's bedroom has a panel box on the wall you look at as soon as you enter the room. I can't understand why the people who built the house didnt put it behind the door. Nevertheless, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about how to make the panel box inconspicuous without totally blocking the panel box. But please, dont anyone tell me to just pick a different room to be my sons room -- I picked this room because it'll be closest to my room.

And it is obvious that there is someone out there who doesnt know what a panel box is because their answer was to move it. Well trust and believe that i will report any abuse and the guy who answered that will be reported. And if you really think that a panel box can be just "moved" then you need to go ahead and hand over you man card, because obviously your arent a man who knows a thing about what a panel box even is.

Is it possible to paint the panel box as a feature. For example paint giraffe on it, then inches and feet going up the panel so it can be used to see how tall he is growing.

The easiest solution is to hang a picture over top of it, assuming the box is small enough. I had the same problem in my bedroom. I painted it the same color as the wall & it blends right in. :-)
