I would check with your vet right away. There are many problems that can happen with new moms. The stress alone can cause medical issues. Be sure to ask about putting mom and babies on a daily feline vitamin. This will strenghthen mom and help prevent problems with the little ones.
See if your local library has The Very Healthy Cat Book by Wendell Belfield DVM. It's got great advice on raising healthy cats. Enjoy the kittens!

What kind of noises? Does she sound like she's in pain? I think you have to take her to the vet - she could have an infection or something. With a new litter of kitties she should be eating a LOT because she has to feed them. Get her some help and good luck.

i agree about asking a vet, no need to take her in, just call a few up to get different opinions. were you with her when she gave birth? do you know how many kittens she had? are any missing? were any born dead or die shortly after birth? are her nipples feverish red or swollen? do the kittens act like they are getting enough milk?
