Some things you can buy cheap and still get quality, some you can't. Straighteners is one you want to spend the extra $$ to get a good one. The Remington Wet 2 Straight Ceramic isn't bad. I used it for a few months and it didn't break my hair the way the old ones did. You can use it on wet hair too which is good. I spent $40 a year ago but now they're cheaper at amazon.com

In general cost is tied to quality. If you spend 10-20 bucks its not going to work. However, try a beauty supply store. I found a GVP (generic value product) brand of a CHI which was 70 when the regular chis go for 120. Works just as well as the real thing and also has temp control so you don't have to risk burning your hair as much.

Your local beauty supply store has good ones. A ceramic one is better and it won't damage your hair as much. A good one should also have multiple heat settings, 0-20 at least. It you really want your hair straight buy some Redken Spray starch to spray on before you use the iron and it will stay straight for a really long time without frizz. I also use it to curl my hair so the curls stay.

u can almost get them anywhere, just depends on what u want. u can ask a professional what u need for ur hair and go from there on his/her advice. but i would personally check at salon style straighteners and if they dont have a straightener that has a heat adjuster, than go to wal mart. they have a variety of hair straighteners and produces that allow u to use the straightener without damaging ur hair too much.
