my first reaction to this question is drug/alcohol abuse, also many routine prescribed and over the counter medications, but also lack of sleep, overly busy schedule, depression, stress metabolic disorders like thyroid disease, certain vitamin defieciencies, Diabetes or hypoglycemia, various brain or nervous system disorders, etc etc. You really dont have enough to go on here, best to rule out the obvious then keep looking from there. As a person who does shift work I can tell you that even on good sleep weeks my overall sleep deficiet affects my memory. You really need to look at what type and how long these memory lapses are, overall schedule, food intake and type. You dont indicate if this person is male or female, hormones can cause havoc for women. Pregnancy can make a women very forgetfull. Also recent research indicates that women are more sensitve to enviromental toxins and food additives like colors and preservatives. Good luck, I hope this resolves soon.
