My mother has some little round orange pills with "S" on one side and "521" on the other. She just returned from traveling with my brother and we cannot read the medication label. Can you help? She doesn't seem to remember what they are and maybe you can jog her memory.

It could be prochlorpherazine. This is a generic and is usually used for psychotic disorders.

Take it to your local pharmacist to be sure. He/she will be able to identify it. Sometimes the letters on the pill can be confusing and it might be a symbol instead.

Don't take my word for it, I cannot see the pill and am only going on what you said. To be 100% sure...take it to a pharmacist so they can look at it.

The best thing to do is bring the pills into your local pharmacy and they should be able to identify the drug. Your mother should certainly not take them until she knows exactly what they are and what they were prescribed for.

Sounds like Sinemet for Parkinson's.

Check with your pharmacy that filled it. They can tell you all the meds she would be on.
