If we do, what should our tactics be? How should we go about it?

Now that you've made it public, the Democrats are going to form committees and spend bazillions of dollars producing non-binding memos about showing love to spammers, that spammers are people too, that there's no real evidence of nuclear powered weapons of spam destruction, that we need to give proper notice to spammers before reporting them. Just when we started making progress too.....

Is it possible to fight spam? Probably not. Just use your spam blocker and hope for the best. The guys that create that stuff are usually a half a step ahead of the ones creating the blocking software.

I think we should, it's attacking our inboxes. E-mail sites like Yahoo and Hotmail should make companies pay for the privilege of spamming, like, say, a dollar per every e-mail account with them. By hitting them in the wallet, we can make companies realize that spam advertising isn't very cost effective.
