Well, they don't want the kids to actually UNDERSTAND anything, silly! Kids are curious, they might try to ask questions like, "why?" or "how is that possible?" Nobody wants that! It's much better to teach them to memorize and repeat, memorize and repeat. Eventually they will accept everything they were taught as fact, since they heard it so many times.

Those 'children' are going to remain just that for the rest of their lives'. They have been told what to think and how to respond to certain questions. What they haven't been taught is how to think for themselves. It really is a shame. They will never have the ability to form their own honest opinions. At that age is when children are most vulnerable. They will always be slaves to their childhood. They may as well have been at a Nazi youth camp. It's over for them.

They understand what they're saying, and they understand what they are being told, especially when they are being called "phonies" and "hypocrites", and being told that "if Harry Potter was alive in the Old Testament, he'd have been put to death!"
Most of them are home-schooled and are being indoctrinated 24/7. Disgusting.

Once you are fed that crap day in and out, being home schooled with it, church almost every night and almost all day on Sunday, you learn the rhetoric. Those kids spoke like that on the movie because they've just been spoon fed it day in and day out. Take them to an amusement park, and they'll act like any other 7 year old.

Of course they have no idea what they're saying. They're just repeating words. What do you expect? THEY'RE KIDS.
