I have used Turbo Tax for about 5 years now. It is very easy to understand and follow, and you can get it quite reasonably priced (try Wal mart). I usually only buy every other year, but you can also use it for free online. try www.turbotax.com Using it for free varies by income, but most people qualify. Try going through the IRS website www.irs.gov and look for the Free File links. You can not only use the software, but you're e-filing fees are waived if you qualify.

I'm not certain, but i believe you can update the software one year so you only have to purchase every other year. Look on the back of the box to be sure.

Good luck! BTW,, I love it! it is very easy to use, and my refunds have increased since using.

To do schedule C you would want to get the highest version of Turbo Tax, it has extra steps specifically for small business owners, I believe it sells for between 70 & 80 bucks, sometimes you can find it with a rebate to make it cheaper.

Yes you have to buy an updated version every year.

Yes it is a very easy to use program, very intuitive & they guarantee their math calculations, in other words if you enter the correct info they won't screw upthe figures.

Been using Turbo Tax for about 5 years now.

Hope this helps.

I used Tax Cut last year and this year. I think you can download it on the internet for free for the basic version. I like it best, there are several upgrade versions, You may need due to your business. They are fairly priced and My choice.

I've used the basic version for the last 8 years, Schedule C intensive. I highly recommend it, very easy to follow and understand. You do need to buy it every year, but you import the previous year's data file so you don't have to re-enter the basic stuff every year and it carries forward depreciation and other year-to-year elements. This year I'm trying the version with expanded questions for LLC businesses using Schedule C. It's integration with Quickbooks is also a time-saver for me.
