i want to make a tutorial about how to do something on a pc and so i want to film my desktop as i do something on it.is there any software that can do this?

Search CamStudio in google its completly free with no watermarks etc. it can do full screen recording with audio if you wish its output is either .avi or .swf whichever you choose.
So far its great so I think you should give it a shot.
