I like to go deer hunting and have tagged a couple of deer. Men can sit around and talk about their tag, but, when a woman sits around in their group and talk about their tag and there is a man in the group that hasn't tagged a deer, he seems to get offended. So do men really like women to hunt or not?

All the people who are answering this question and aren't a hunter and are nothing but a treehuging hippies should just shut there mouths

Anyway..... what it is, it that a guy gets upset when a woman gets a bigger buck or fills their tag before he does. Its a male chauvinist thing. And i bet all the other guys at the table give him grief because she filled her tag but he couldn't.
Personally i like a woman that hunts. That is another thing that we could do together. But some men may not like it because they are trying to "get away" from their home life. if you like it don't worry about close minded men that want a women to clean the deer and not hunt them.

Sounds like that guy is turning deer hunting into a competition and has serious issues. He should learn to be happy for others, male or female, or stay at home. There are men who are good to hunt with and men who you don't want to hunt with. The same is true for women. Just like how annoying people come in every color. I would think that men would like to choose hunting partners based on the individual, and not on anatomy.

I am 1000% in favor of women hunting and shooting, any time any place you wont to talk hunting you can talk to me.
We have women game wardens here in Oklahoma and the one that I bump in to with her side arm on , she so hot she never haves to walk on wet ground it dry to quick as this lady approach.
Ladies and guns do mix.
I look at it like this, if you’re a hunter you cant be against hunting true!

I am a life long hunter. When I was young my father was busy with work so my Grandmother took me hunting and taught me woodsmanship. So as you may conclude I think it is perfectly allright that women hunt. I have taken my daughter several times and she enjoys it as well. If someone is insecure enough to be upset because a woman was successful and they were not then he in all truth is not a true hunter anyway.

Not many woman are interested in hunting, but those who are, make excellent hunters.
They learn quick, can shoot as well and as straight as any man.
Any male hunter that is worth his salt, knows this and respects it.
The male is physically stronger by nature than the female, but the female makes up in other departments such as concentration stealth and willpower.
They might use lighter guns and bows than men, but make up for that by being extremely accurate and skill full.
We accept them as hunters , although it is not traditionally a woman's sport or fancy, just like they accept us in the kitchen should we be good at cooking.

Sounds wierd to me. I've been deer hunting with women since the 1960's and never heard of such.

I think a lot of guys who SAY they aren't opposed, when they get in a situation like that, well, their inner caveman comes out. It is pretty deep social conditioning that says...man, this CHICK has a deer and I don't, what the hell is wrong with me? I guess it takes tact all around. If you have luck or success, don't rub other people's noses in it, regardless of who you or they are. However, I'm sure there is a little more sensitivity on behalf of the men when a woman is doing something they can't do.

When my brothers were coming up we were a wrestling family. My dad was at the top of the heap of sports dads. Later we found out that he had really pressured my youngest brother too much and he stayed in the sport way past it being fun for him, just because he couldn't tell my dad he wanted out. hahaha!

Anyway, when they were little, sometimes the young girls wanted to try their hand and they were allowed because we didn't have a girl's program for them and they couldn't be barred from the sport due to sex.

My dad was so PISSED. He was old school like that, a bubba when it came to that stuff. He used to say...well, what's that gonna do for the guy who has to wrestle her?

If he wins, he beat a girl, big deal.
If he loses, he got beat by a girl, BIG DEAL!

I don't agree with this at all but that is typical opinion of a lot of men these days, particularly today's teen athlete's GRANDPAS who want to support their grandkids but just don't see why they have to go changing all the rules just to let some GIRL play a BOY's game.

Nothing but respect for women hunters. Wish there were more of them, as the boys get kinda uncivilized left on their own.
