I agree with Rio..Beating a woman is just wrong on so many levels, buying a gift is not a sign of weakness, if she can't handle a good man then its on her, not you. She stuck with the last guy for three years because she didnt know any better, I bet he left her, not the other way around. I take control in bed, ladies seem to like that.

Young brother,
I married that girl. I don't condemn her, she grew up with a life of abuse that carried over into her adult life. My relationship style is more oriented towards moments sublime with intervals of reflection and solitude. Hers was more oriented towards togetherness. I felt suffocated, and she felt chilly.
Plus, she was used to dudes from the streets. Now I've played in the streets but I'm not into 4 and 5 ho's, baby's mama drama, and some other stereotypical bullshit she had been dealing with.
Read up on the experiences abused women go through. It ain't pretty. Some of them bear some scars you would never want to imagine having to endure. Some of them come out straight vicious and if pushed (or not pushed) a certain way, will stick a knife in you. You've got to understand what your dealing with.
Unfortunatley, many women can't appreciate a man who treats them 'nice'. Fortunately most can (eventually). Find somebody your speed and let Busta handle his.
Like an old cartoon used to say, "Be who you is, and not who you is not. For those who do is the happiest lot!"

That would be a definate NO, for me. Although some woman like the man to be in control and have all the power. I suggest you just be yourself, and treat the woman right, and I guarantee that you'll have better luck with the ladies.
Good luck

she doesnt see it the same way you do. when a guy controls her, its showing a lot of emotion and that emotion is for her. she probably loved him before he became abusive, and she's forgiving him for doing those things to her.
im not saying what he's doing is ok, im just showing you her point of view. ive been in the same situation, and he ended up cheating on me. that time i REALLY did leave him, and ive learned my lesson from it.
i dont think theres anything you can do. you just have to let her leave him on her own, and still be there when he's finally out of the picture.

No most women don't like to be controlled. She probably did not expect any better after being treated that way for so long. You should have showed her that men are not all jerks and treat her well.

This girl is so used to controlling men that she doesn't know how to handle one who isn't. I would tell her to seek counseling. Women only like to be controlled in bed. Otherwise, we are our own people.

you don't need to be controlling , but the lady is really in a stiff situation and she is confused, many other women would enjoy your company and your charm. Many men need to step it up and those who are too rough need to tone it down, but you sound like a prefect gentleman.
