I don't see the use in having eyebrows, and i have been thinking about it lately. The only reason i could think up is so that we don't look so weird, but that's only because we're used to having eyebrows.

i think its to keep sweat from rolling right into our eyeballs.

To keep the rain from flowing directly down your forehead and into your eyes. Also for protection of the eyes. Hair acts as a cushion against bumps. And for signaling. Eyebrows and eyes work together to convey messages.

Those tiny, little hairs above our eyes that many women either pluck, paint, pierce or tattoo play a very important role in keeping moisture out of our eyes.
Just like an umbrella keeps our bodies dry from the rain, our hairy eyebrows keep our eyes dry from rain or sweat.

when people used to work, they would sweat on their foreheads which would cause sweat to run down the face. The eyebrows would catch the sweat and keep it out of our eyes

To keep foreign objects out of your eyes.
My husband's hair fell out after chemotherapy (eyebrows and eyelashes). He said he didn't realize how much stuff got into his eyes without the eyelashes and eyebrows.
So, I guess that is why they are there.

Everyone has the right scientific answer, it protects your eyes from sweat in the like...
But I like to think they are there so The Rock had a reason to be famous :D

eye balls were made to prevent sweat from your forehead from getting into your eyes and burning them. and as much as there a pain in the *** to keep plucking and waxing and tweezing I wouldn't advise shaving them cause that would just look wierd. and please don't shave them and then draw them on it makes women look like they are surprised all the time or scared. keep the eye brows they have a function whether it be to keep the sweat out of your eyes or to make your face look normal whatever you prefer just make sure you keep them. lol

Same reason we have eyelashes, and nose hair. Helps filter stuff from getting in your eyeballs. Especially sweat.
