Well if it was bad it would have left the freezer in march and went to the walmart freezer where they would have made it good with a brand new package. Thats why walmart can give ya low low prices.

If you buy meat in January, and leave it in the refrigerator for a month, it will expire in February, because it's been exposed. However, if you buy meat in January and freeze it right away, it will last much longer because it's frozen, not fresh, and it's not exposed to bacteria. Meat does not have a memory. Meat is muscle, it doesn't have a brain. Basically, the expiration date is when the meat is expected to go bad IF under normal conditions, such as in a refrigerator.

Degree days. Decomposing of flesh takes a certain amount of degrees over a certain number of days. The hotter the days, the quicker decomposition occurs. Technically, because you froze your meat, it's in the MINUS degree category. That means it's going backwards in time and you could freeze the meat at the end of February, and defrost it only to find it boasting November freshness. This makes your freezer a great place to put old people. Seriously!

Because freezing it arrests the decaying process, which begins anew, as if nothing happened, upon thawing. This is why you thaw it, cook it, and eat it.

Would you think straight if you had been stuffed in a dark freezer for 4 months too many? Without even a courtesy bare bulb to light your nights? You'd be sitting in a corner thinking bovine thoughts too!

you froze the memory when you put it in the freezer! But if your memory forgets to take it out in time than you get the freezer burn!
