i mean red as in deep burgundy and the sheets have a strip pattern to it. i do not have a comforter yet.

It depends on the red you already have. Is it candy apple red? Then something crisp and refreshing like white. Is it a sultry cranberry red? Then a smooth warm color like buttercream (tan) or chocolate. Don't recommend red on red, almost always clashes. Don't do green either, too seasonal. A royal purple could work if you accessorize accordingly. Like red bedsheets, very bold.

Not if your comforter has several colors including red. I just got red satin sheets and I may get a solid red satin comforter-so that is up to you, I mean who's going to see it??

a creamy white would be prettty. Another red and they would blend together. But you could do a red with some kind of pattern in it that way you get some contrast and it isn't so matchy matchy.

Burgandy (deep red) looks great with hunter green

Fire engine red with chocolate brown.

But just my opinion

A nice sand color gives it the perfect contrast.

red and black always go good together, maybe a black bed skirt.
