This is the equivalent of the "terrible twos" for puppies. In order to arrest the behavior, you have to be vigilent.
EVERY TIME you see the pup start to chew on something it shouldn't give it a calm but firm "no chew" command and remove the item from it. You can then replace the no-no item with something the dog CAN chew (like a rawhide chip or something). And then praise the dog when he chews on that.
Be consistent.
Remember too that dogs learn "in the moment" so scolding him now for chewing on something he did 20 minutes ago is useless; the dog won't understand what you're complaining about. You have to stop the misbehavior the instant you see it starting.
Don't hit or yell at your dog; these teach it nothing except to fear you -- which may lead to larger behvior problems when the dog gets older. Also, DO NOT crate a dog for misbehavior. Crates are designed to be safe "dens" for house dogs, not jails used for punishment.

Basically your pup may be teething. Just as babies teeth, pups do as well as their adult teeth haven't come in yet. But in most cases, the pup just wants to be mischeivous as well. I would definitely teach the pup that there are certain things he/she can chew on and it isn't the furniture in the house. I would go to petsmart or any veterinarian office to get some 'chew' toys and make sure the next time the pup tries to chew on something he/she isn't supposed to be chewing on, grab his/her chew toy and make he/she is aware that the chew toy is what is allowed to be chewed on in your house, not anything else. Work with the pup on this and you'll be sure to succeed! :)

My top tip...
Get a hand towel and soak it in cold water, wring it out and keep it in the twisted shape, then put it into the freezer for few hours, Give to pup. Resolves most problems with chewing; boredom - the chewing will keep him amused, Teething - Coldness will help soothe the pain etc..
Hope this helps

Get your pup lots of chew toys, any time you see him chewing something he shouldn't tell him no and give him a bone or dog toy. He is probably teething. Just like babies, they feel the need to chew because of the discomfort.

Sounds bored, He is still a baby, Mine gets destructive if left alone for long periods despite lots of toys, Either he needs more attention or what worked for us was another dog!! A playmate takes the strain. Alternatively borrow some children to play with him

Make sure he has lots of toys he can chew. If he goes to chew something he shouldn't quickly distract him to one of his own toys. When you leave the house do not let him have the run of the house - he will destroy it!. Make sure he is left in somewhere like the kitchen or a crate. He could be teething or, bored. When they are bored, they can become destructive. Please don't leave him with chewy toys like rawhide bones unattended - sometimes they can choke on them. All pups will try and chew - I've lost a couple of pairs of shoes thanks to my cocker spaniel!. Mine is just three and I won't trust him in the whole house on his own - they can still be naughty boys when left home alone!

Puppy are all like that its like a phase for them they chew everything the only way he cant chew everything is when he starts chewing something stop him as soon as possible and tell him not to do that and when he gets older and older he will know not to chew stuff you have to teach him

He's teething. Try to puppy-proof the house, and get him some good chew toys or bones.
Good luck!
