I'm looking for a good monostable multivibrator integrated circuit. It is also called a monostable pulse or one-shot. Ideally, I need a minimum input pulse width of less than 2 nS, and an output pulse width of 30 ns. A very fast rise/fall time is preferred. For example, the MM74HC4538 chip from Fairchild needs a 20ns input pulse, and can give me an output 150ns pulse. It does not matter if it is expensive, I just need something that is commercially available. Thanks for your help!

This may be an application for a schottky diode into an RC driving a logic device from the ALV logic family. A Phillips 74ALVC04 has prop delays of as little as 1.8 nSec so it should have good edge speed. You could try the typical NOR gate circuit using the same logic family but the 2 nSec input pulse is going to be pushing things a bit.

Good luck.

previous the line the reduce incorporates the furnish of stepped forward existence help and for regulation enforcement to supervise crash web pages. 75 mph is way more beneficial survivable than 80 mph, which in turn is way more beneficial survivable than 80 5 mph. At one hundred mph basically about all injuries are fatalities, which (from a regulatory attitude) can tie up officials and close down the line for 0.5 an afternoon. At 100 and twenty mph, see the video in the first source. automobiles must be designed for a optimal impression %, the speed at which the supply way zones are exhausted and the restraints have done all they could. in the Nineteen Nineteen Seventies it grow to be accepted the "sweet spot" for optimal impression % for passenger automobiles grow to be about 80 mph. through that % fatalities are undemanding besides so it did not count number if the vehicles were designed for ninety mph. % limits reflect the jurisdiction's willingness to address the carnage from higher speeds. 70 mph is extremely secure, 80 mph is searching for difficulty. ninety mph is basically trouble-free stupid.

Sorry, Prince... the 555 is WAAAYY too slow for what the Asker is describing.

The MC10198L is an ECL part, but obsolete. You may be able to get old stock somewhere. It is 10k ECL, and just about as fast as what you need.

As Sight4 said, you may have to "roll your own".
