Help. I've installed Asian fonts, installed the Korean keyboard, I select Korean language when I start a word document, but when I type it still comes out as Roman script.

What am I doing wrong ?

Ok, yes I've installed IME. When I press alt + shift the language icon changes from EN to KO. And yes, I've downloaded the language pack from the Microsoft website. When I open a word document, if I select Korean language, all that happens is that the font changes. I can manually select the IME but this is next to useless as it only lets you input one character at a time and not a full syllable. Is there anyone Korean reading this who can tell me how they do it ??

Yrez is right: press the Alt key and the shift key at the same time. I've installed Serbian and Russian on my keyboard at home, so if I do Alt-shift once and type qwertyuiop, it comes out in Serbian: љњертзуиоп and if I do Alt-shift again and type qwertyuiop again, it comes out in Russian: йцукенгшщз. Тhen, if I do Alt-shift a third time, it reverts to Latin.

Have you installed IME?
Well, concerning Korean, on korean keyboard there is a key for that to change if you want to write with romanized letter instead of Hangul. But if you can't manage with IME, which is pretty strange, you can download NJstar

maybe can be useful for you

try hitting alt + shift a couple times and see if that input pad pops up. once it does then you can start input.

힘 means strength, so why not just put it? or you may want to take Kangin for a tattoo.. haha.. you know him? I just like his name which means "strong benevolence." btw, if you want to really add the "nae" in himnae, just draw the L and H with the horizontal lines shorter.
