Recently England passed a new law barring Indian doctors. Likewise other countries, having their own unemployed will also introduce laws barring other nationals. As long as it is the menial jobs that are done by foreigners in foreign country, the import of manpower will continue but when it comes to the professional jobs, every country has its reservations when its own are without jobs. Apart from this, the salaries received by the foreigners in another country is money leaving that country.
As far as surviving on manpower export, it is not true. We as a country are rich enough to live within our means. It is only when we spend crores on unnecessary weapons and allowing the car makers to enter our country, and allow Indians to buy more and more cars and other expensive foreign trinklets without realizing that for each and every purchase within this country, our money is also taken of this country.
Manpower export is the only great Indian industry which brings crores back into this country.

India is NOT surviving on man power export. Manpower export is just bringing new and great wealth to India. Without it, India would not perish. May be gets a little poorer, but not perish.

I assume the hiring of people in arab countries and the Philippines by US companies--i.e. farming out business. I worked for a towing company and a lot of the calls are routed directly to India. My daughter and a few hundred others lost their job at a well known insurance company because it was farmed out. The people will work for much less than what an American would expect plus no benefits. So how long will it survive? As long as the companies can find cheaper labor it will go on forever.

Question: What will India do when American companies withdraw their labor contracts with foreign workers after the USA imposes a steep tax on the wages American Companies pay to foreign workers?
A tax of that sort will balance the economic playing field and make it unpatriotic to farm jobs out to countries that accept low wages.
The losers will be the countries where there is a sudden drop in the income of thousands of people who previously worked for American companies.
