The online translators are completely unreliable for text, and not much better for individual words. One of the best sites for individual words is:

It is Latin/English and English/Latin. If there are several words that may translate one word, this site shows you all, with definitions, so you can see the differences in usage. It also gives the cases and verb forms for all the Latin words.
