I'm facing the same problem now. YA is one of my distractions, so hopefully I'll take my own advice as soon as I finish this.

You have to focus on the goal - finishing the homework assignment on time (this is my immediate goal), or getting paid by the customer for doing a good job on building a boat or a chair, or whatever it is you need to accomplish. Set a tangible reward for yourself - tell yourself that you can play online games after you're done, or that you'll go skiing tomorrow if you get this done on time, or that you'll have a beer out with your buddies tonight to celebrate finishing. But you have to keep your eyes on the prize.

Now it's time for me to go back to studying Java....

Take care of some of the difficulties and if you can't change them, accept that and move on to completing your tasks.

Excersise and eat healthy and sleep well.Remember there are things that you just can't change,so why worry?
