I did on my peter pan kinda freaked out since I feed it to my young daughter it may have been fine but I threwq it out and went and got myself a jar of Skippy! No more peter pan for me or Great Value for that matter. I am sure it was a mistake but for the most part we are talking about kids eating this. The best I can do is stop giving them my business.

sorry for not clarifying, 2111 is the first 4 numbers on Peter Pan and Great Value brand peanut butter that may have benn contaminated with samonilla. If you have it throw it away or bring it back to the store for a refund or exchange. It can make you very sick. Particularly dangerous for the very young and very old.

I have 4 bottles...it was on sale. Two have been partially eaten. I ate the most and have had loose bowels for a week. Salmonella symptoms can be found on the Web.
Send lids from jars with ID numbers (Number is on the Lid) starting with 2111 to:
ConAgra Foods, P.O. Box 57078
Irvine, CA 92619-7078

Include your name and address--they will send you a refund. There is no mention of having to send any receipt of purchase. (Perhaps they will send coupons for free jars of peanut butter.)

The telephone # given is (866)344-6970
(It's been busy all day.)

I have Great Value with it on it. The jar is half empty. My grand daughter was sick last week, don't know if this was problem or not. We eat about a jar a week so don't know if the last ones were also infected. SCARY!!

Yeah, the one we were almost done with and the 2 we got at a 2 for one bin at Publix this weekend!! EEeeee...
I don't think they've actually found salmonella in any of the samples they've taken though.

I found two jars in our cabinet...one almost gone...I threw them away,,they say you can take the lid to the grocery store and get your money back but I don't even want to touch the lid. Better safe than sorry..although we didn't get sick, I still worry that it just hasn't hit us yet....how scary is our food supply getting?

We threw it away last night. My son got sick a week ago. Fever, throwing up, chills. He's much better now. Scary
