Now I am somewhat worried and Im wondering if its normal? She usually meows a lot if she wants to be picked up, if she wants food. if her litter box needs cleaning or just for attention. My question is : Is it normal that my cat isnt meowing after her operation? If not would ould it be and what can I do?

Sounds like kittie may have a sore throat. They do put a tube in the mouth to help monitor the breathing and also to put them to sleep during the operation. Time should heal all. Its good to be concerened, and you may want to call your Vet and confirm this. Good luck, and I'm sure kittie will be letting you know he/she is in need of attention soon.

during surgery, a tube is in their mouth/throat to administer anesthesia...it may be that it has irritated her throat, and she will soon get her voice back...my kitten also did this after her eye surgery...but to be on the safe side, why not call your vet and ask if this is normal...they dont mind, they are happier to know u participate in the care of your cat, not just leaving things to chance.
