Take her to the vet and they will check her thyroid.
You may want to give her a different catfood.

Yes! You are feeding her way too much! Read the back of the bag - an adult indoor cat should only eat 1/4 cup PER DAY. So, 1/8 cup in the morning and again at night.

It seems like not enough, but it's plenty. Taper her off and start soon, or the weight may never go away. Also, switch her to a low fat formula. My cats love Science Diet Light.

3/4 of a cup twice a day is too much. She should be eating that much once a day. We leave Gracie's dry Indoor Cat Chow out all day, for her to "graze" as she likes(no more than a cup full). She never eats all the dry food in a day. I give her 1/3 of a can of Fancy Feast for "lunch". It's almost like a treat for her. Sometimes she just licks off the juice or gravy and leaves the rest. Gracie is 4 years old and weighs a little over 12 pounds. She's got a little more weight on her than she should, but the vet is OK with it.

Most people think cats are very cute when there are fat don't let her get too fat then her body will like get lazy just like humans cats and dogs need to exercise i don't think 3/4 a cup of cat food is too much that's good that she's keeping up on exercising very healthy but i'm not really sure i would just maybe feed her a little less and see if that helps

As the above states, all animals tend to fatten up after a spay . Having several kitties of our own, and fostering many, we have noticed some cats seem to think they have to eat all the time, while others are more disciplined. Fat kitties are cute, but they dont live a healthy long life we would expect. I do have one at home we call Fred (female called wrong by the Vet), that is the center of alot of jokes. We tried diet foods which she just ate in bigger quantities. We keep her as active as possible with toys and playing with her. I have come to the conclusion that Fred is very 'fat' and very 'happy'. Therefore we are going to injoy as she is, and if we should loss her, we will feel terrible, but she has had a wonderful life. By the way, she is nine, and almost ten.

yes, 3/4 of a cup each feeding is probably too much,as she is gaining too much weight. Dry cat food tend to have more calories than wet cat canned food. Reduce the amount of food to ONE CUP PER DAY. That means, 1/2 cup per serving if you feed her twice daily. Tis reduction is very small so I doubr your kitty will protest.

Wow that is a lot of food for a cat. I'd cut it down to 1/2 immediately and if you give wet food on both meals, substitute dry in for one of them. My vet said as little as 1/2 cup per day should be sufficient to keep the cat healthy, so you are well within comfort range to reduce it to 1 cup.

The bag of food has feeding instructions on them. Read it. That seems like a lot. I feed mine 3/4 cup a day (not per feeding).

Unfortunately, most animals will get fat when they are fixed. My cat weighed 14 pounds at her heaviest. Play with her as much as you can, try feeding her a little less. If that doesn't work, get some diet kitty food. Silly i know, but it works.

I wouldnt worry to much about your kitty looking fat. They will get that way after being spayed. It is because the muscles that are in there are now loose. The vet had to cut through all that muscle tissue to get to wherever he/she needed to get to.

Unless your cat is 15-20 lbs, I really wouldnt worry to much.
