First you might want to ask yourself some questions. If you told him, do you think that it would ruin the friendship? Do you feel that he may feel the same way about you? If you guys did start dating and then broke up, would you be able to continue a friendship? And most importantly, if he doesn't feel the same way, can you set aside your romantic feelings for him to keep the friendship?

I have been dating and now live with my best friend of 5 years. I was in the same situation. Fortunately, we discussed our feelings...everything else just fell into place. There are many options that you can weigh out...but most importantly you need to be honest with him just so things don't get awkward.

Try innocent flirting. Next time you guys hang out, jokingly mention that is a 'date' and see what his response is. Sometimes its easy to pick up on peoples vibes...just go with the flow. Or you can simply sit down with him and ask if he has feelings for you. It really all depends on the relationship and how close you really are to him. But I'm a firm believer that "If its meant to be, then it will happen". So Good luck!

Call him up and tell him your boyfriend has been hitting you and you are scared. Ask if you can come talk to him.
Let him know you need him to comfort you and hold you and stuff, and that will be a good time to realize whether or not you two feel anything for each other.

First, you have to make sure by telling him it wont mess up the friendship. Be honest about it and just let him know how you feel. Try writing your thoughts on paper then give it to him, this will make it easier for you.
