hey, thanks for the answers everyone..but..yeah i was wondering why i have a foot fetish

It has to do with an event in their lives that gets turned around in there minds.
For example say their was a little boy who never got paid any attention by his parents, and when they were little his little brother got spanked alot. And he was ignored, so in his mind it got twisted as to be spanked means you are loved, because you get paid attention to. So in his subconscious some how it got twisted into this fetish that now he likes for women to spank him...
That was a bad example I think, but hopefully you get what I'm trying to say.

Have you read the Wiki entry on fetishism? It's very interesting. I couldn't tell you the cause or anything like that, but I've heard a theory that it has something to do with particular formations in the brain. There have been cases of people with no prior history of fetishes having head injuries and then becoming fetishists.
I say, if you like it and it's not hurting anyone then enjoy!

I've always wondered too. Since I was around 4 or 5 i've had a wet clothing fetish. It's still hard to understand now that i'm 34, but I've come to realize i'll never 'outgrow' it as long as I live.

It depends on the fetish, but often experiences from a person's childhood. When I was studying this in psychology, we read case studies of adult men who had underwear fetishes. Most of them came from when they were adolescents looking at lingerie catalogs to get turned on. This is just one example.
Most sex fetishes don't hurt anyone, but for the people who want to get rid of them, therapists encourage them to have sex without using the fetish until they don't need it anymore.

the fact that they are in need of love but they don`t know how to get it, so they find all kinds of surrogates for it.
At one point they become to obsessed of it that nothing else matters.

Sexual dysfunction mainly.
Sometimes traumatic events during childhood.
And some of us just like to wear diapers and soil ourselves.
