Yes....the reception is supposed to be fun and free...if you have a long veil its just going to get in the way. Also it will probably fall off during dancing anyways!!!

I had two veils: one that was really long, and a shorter one that covered my face at the ceremony. For the reception, I took the long one off and kept the short one on through the dinner. Once the dinner was over and the partying started, I took off the short one as well. It's perfect fine to take off your veil. Do what makes you comfortable, remember... it's your wedding!

Definatly.. The wedding is formal the reception is FUN! If you want to wear a veil but the veil your wearing for the wedding is too long, you can purchase a smaller one for the reception.. but I say take it off. Have fun!

Well I sure hope so cuz I'm losin mine as soon as we walk out of the sanctuary! lol! I love mine, its really special cuz it was my moms and we reworked it so now it looks like a modern veil, but it drives me completely nuts! I can't stand how it feels and as light as it is, the thing hangin from my hair just freaks me out! All veils had this effect on me, but I didn't ever feel bridal till I put one on with the dresses, so I'm gonna suck it up long enough to actually get married and have pics in it and will definetly be veil free at the reception, its totally up to you and perfectly fine either way!

Yes, especially if it is particularly long or an antique/family heirloom. My cousin's wife took hers off at the reception after her first dance because she didn't want it to get torn. I plan to remove mine because it was my mother's and it is a cathedral length veil that stretches out a good 2-3 feet from me once it hits the floor.

You wear it down the aisle, he lifts it when he kisses you. After the cerimony you dont have to wear it, or even your dress. Some buy a diff little outfit ( usually still white) to wear for the rest of the day.
