Anne Geddes is the best known but sometime just googling "infant or toddler photography" can get you some more unique ideas. I spent 13 years managing retail studios (JCP to Pic People to Sears) and learned early on how to take amazing pics even with the studio limitation. I used to go out looking for ideas for customers all the time. I would find something, borrow a friend who had a child the right age and shoot examples all the time. BEWARE going to those type of studios. Alot of people like I are REAL portrait photographer and manage studios to make a solid living. Others though are brought in with no photo exerience and taugth by the company. Unfortunately, this is much more the rule than the exception. You will see wonderful ideas that no one there can do. If you find an idea you like, take it to the studio you are intrested in. All have limitations for safety that need to be taken into consideration. Also, meet with the studio manager and spell out what you want. Can they accomodate you? Ask to see examples of their work and make sure you are feeling comfortable before you do this. Trips to the studio for something this special are quite the affair to organize. Also remember that the attn span for your child will very about 15 minutes so be ready and do it on their schedule. You need a happy child even if that means doing at a time that isn't so convenient for you.

Take this all into consideration and you will have a memory that you will cherish for a lifetime!! (as mom of a 5 yr old I know how important these things are..:-) )
