You mean the stories contained in the Genesis?
He told someone, like maybe his daughters, or he wrote the stories himself. All of Abraham's family were likely literate.

It's the common theory that the stories were handed down through an oral tradition for many years before the birth of Moses.
Though, there was cuneiform during the time of Adam... So, who really knows?

I think that Abraham wrote the story (Lot most likely told him).
Genesis seems to be written by several people and God.
Where ever it says "...and these are the genealogies...." is when someone else takes up the narrative.

It was passed down from word of mouth until Moses wrote the first 5 books of the bible down. (Or he had a scribe write while he narrated. I'm not sure which)
