We all tend to look for meaning in our dreams, myself included.
There are several dream books out there and internet sites that
will give you a rough idea of what dreaming of flying like an
angel would mean.
Some may think that maybe your were astral projecting in your
dream - or while asleep. I experienced that once. I 'dreamed' I was flying over an expressway and saw glass buildings in the distance. Several months later I was driving through Dallas and
had a feeling of deja vu - it was my 'dream'.
So that is a possible answer as well.
The thing is when you have recurring dreams about something,
many think that it is a signal that you need to address
something in your life, or something may be on the horizon
(I keep dreaming about fire - which means transformation).
Without out a bit more history, I'm sorry I can't be more help.

I had an experience like that when I was eight years old. I was flying above the neighbors house and my family was watching me. It has never happened since and that was 40 yrs ago. I still don't have any sort of explanation, and if you find out anything that makes sense, let me know. Thank You.

When you reach a stage in your spiritual evolution you move to a higher level of consciousness. In that state your sleep also takes you into the 4th dimension where you see reality. This occurs when deep sleep takes you into a realm call “sushupti” (Sanskrit). We experience great joy especially at the crown of the head during this sleep and usually wake up feeling extremely blissful and elated.

Last night, I had a dream I was eating a GIANT marshmallow. When I woke up, my pillow was gone, and I had a dry taste in my mouth.
