or what % would they take out? If i make $1950 a month and claim 1 on my tax form when I become employed? Also do you know how much or what % they take out for social security?

Thanks

the fed will take out 8%for social security and for 2% medicare (your employer matches that amount by the way) and it sounds as if you are in the 15% federal tax bracket.

i think all of them combined (fed, state and ssn) would come to 20 - 25% of the gross. Leaves you about 1500 a month to live on.
