everyday i see one of my friends who wears glasses i want to know how bad her eyesight is she takes them off to put on eye makeup and looks at her mirror really closely how bad is her eyesight and what kind of eye problem do u think she has

i need my glasses for reading...but can read a sign over 100 yards away without them.....farsighted

Her eyesight may not be that bad at all. I wear glasses but with barely any prescription. When I take them off I feel like I have to move everything way closer. It could go either way.
And I can't imagine what her makeup must look like....

I have the same thing...i take my glasses off to put make up on since i can get closer to the mirror and see my face. I see perfectly when things are close. But I have to wear my glasses when it's farther than a feet away:(

Most women get up close and personal with their mirrors while they are putting on makeup. It has nothing really to do with eyesight and everything to do with wanting to get your look just so.

Have you thought to ask her?
She could be very near sighted (meaning her eyes only focus properly a close, or near, distance from the object) and/or she could suffer from astigmatism which makes everything aggrivatingly blurry no matter how near or far you are from it.
Why speculate? Just ask her like this:
"Hey honey, you know I don't wear glasses so I am curious about them. Can you tell me what your glasses do to help you see better?"
That's really not offensive at all and it will solve the mystery for you.

She's blind as a bat. I can't see to get up and use the bathroom at night without my glasses. I also have terrible astigmatism. I have to get right next to the mirror to put my make up on, and it looks fine, for those of you who were wondering.

She's nearsighted. My sister is 20/700 and she has to do that, too.

i would ask her why she weres glasses n ask her what is her eye problem she may get mad tho
