Only way to know is to go doctor, BOTH OF YOU, and have it tested for all STD. My wife and I did it when we became serious about the relation (we would test ourselves from time to time, but this time was the last one).
Is not only about trust, is also the fact that it only takes one time to ruin your life, and you might not even know you got sick until is too late.
Use protection all the time, and when committed, then go together and do the test and make sure no body cheats later on!

They may not want to scare them, some people get affraid of the fact that there bf gf has aids and run! I think everyone should be upfront and honest, tell them asap that way if they run then you know that they wrnt worth there time any way!

Stupidity, shame and a total disregard for others. - It is a despicable act and shows that they hold self-gratification above all else. - Ask yourself this - "What type of person would knowingly expose their friends to death and a life of misery?"
It is, without question, a selfish act, committed with callous attitude to others.
It is nothing less then committing murder.
