We have 2 Jars of Peter Pan Peanut Butter, both my kids have been sick for 5 days (fever, diarhea, headaches, etc) The doctor said it was NOT the flu. We bought the second Jar last saturday, and they eat it all the time. My daughter ate it Sat, had a high fever that night and was fine the next day. Monday, she ate Peter Pan again, and that night had a high fever and headaches. tues, she was fine again, Wed, Peter Pan, and guess what...High Fever and headaches. DO NOT THROW OUT THE JARS, keep them. I bet once everyone throws them away, then the real story will come out, and no one will be able to test their jars, cause PETER PAN TOLD US TO THROW IT AWAY. My kids are/were sick, and I am pissed. who knows what they actually ate...

We are with you! We have 3 jars of Peter Pan...Whipped, Creamy and Crunchy!! There are 4 of us--3 yr old son, 7 yr old son, my husband and myself and we were all sick for more than a week with the same symptoms. We assumed it was the flu and know that there is no cure for the flu except to let it "Run its course" like our doctor said. So we did! It was hell! That was absolutely the worst sickness we have ever felt!! After 4 days of non-stop sickness, everyone except the youngest were feeling better. I took my youngest to the ER at 3 in the morning b/c he kept vomiting. They said they thought it was the flu and sent us home. After a couple more days of being weak and laying around, my 3 yr old was finally back to normal. I am pissed too!! 3 jars with 2111 on the lid in my cabinets and all the ConAgra representative had to tell me was "We are taking a voluntary precautionary measure in having consumers return the possibly contaminated containers for a full refund." They can shove their $2.50 refund!!!! They have another thing coming if they think thats all its going to cost for us to keep our mouths shut about this!! We eat this product as a snack with a spoon, on sandwiches, celery, etc!! I am going to contact an attorney and see what action my family can take! They have went to far with the whole "Send it back for a refund" bit!! Screw them and their refund--this is our kids we are talking about!!! Who knows how many of our loved ones have consumed this product as well!! How many states and how many un-reported cases are there??!! Noone knows!! I hope you get some answers! Let me know what you find out! I will let you know if I hear anything. I called ConAgras 24 hour hotline and asked for my peanut butter to be tested. Someone is supposed to be calling me to further discuss this matter. You should have yours tested as well. Good Luck!!!!
