Vitamin E is what you need! It helps out with the growth of your nails and even hair. You can actually buy a bottle of Vitamin E tablets at any store from Wal-Mart to GNC. There are also foods such as peanut butter, almonds, spinach, etc. that have vitamin E in them. Don't use the Hard As Nails finger nail polish because it actually is bad for your nails. You need to condition your nails, just like you would do with your hair. I good trick is to get warm olive oil and rub all of hands and nails. It does not take much olive oil. You can go a step further and wrap your olive oil covered hands in clear plastic wrap before you go to bed, and when you wake up in the morning you peel of the wrap and rinse the excess off with a mild soap. It makes your hands so soft, and it is good for your nails. With it being winter, be sure to keep your hands covered with gloves, because your skin and nails are proned to dry out. Cocoa Butter is a good lotion, but just be warned that it does have a quite a bit of natural oils, like the olive oil, so it does not take much to rub on your hands and nails. I hope this helps! Good luck!

Use a moisturizer with a light oil base such as sweet almond oil whenever you wash your hands. Apply moisturizer heavily before bed, wearing gloves during the night. Avoid switching nail polishes frequently since remove tends to strip the nails of moisture. File your nails in one smooth motion towards the center to help avoid chipping. And finally, take a vitamin supplement to help grow strong nails.
