your ***** should come on heat any time between 6 month old and 12 month old need to keep a close eye on her and when she does come on heat keep her away from all dogs and dont even let her out in the garden on her own for at least 3 weeks she should only have a lite season the first time but she could have another season just a few months after they call it a dry heat its not always six months after until she settles down then it is never dead six months that is the problem with haveing a ***** you will jst have to keep close eye for swelling around her valva it will start to swell when she is due in season

Definitely look into financial assistance for spaying your dog. Contact your vet or a local shelter for more information. There are dog diapers that you can get if you are worried about your dog bleeding all over. You will want to put a towel or something down on any furniture/floor where your dog likes to sit or lay. Be very careful when taking your dog outside and don't tie her outside if you won't be able to watch her constantly, unless you want puppies.

6 to 12 months is within the norm for a first season, thereafter around the 6 month mark. bitches will quite often follow their mothers, so if you can ring the breeder and ask how often the bitches mother comes into season. Symptoms vary but can include one or more of the following. Other dogs m&f sniffing her rear end. resident/neighbourhood dogs howling/trying to get to her.Your ***** trying to escape to them. KEEP A VERY CLOSE EYE ON HER. constantly washing her rear end. More clingy to you than normal wanting lots of cuddles. more irritable and irrational behaviour. snapping at animales/humans. sometimes crying out as though in pain. change to normal eating/drinking patterns.protectivly carrying toys around and not wanting to give them up.shratching bedding/carpets to make nest. vulva stars to enlarge & turn to a darker turgig collour. bleeding normally fairly light first season but by third time can be VERY messy spreading around carpets doorframes & your best sofa. Seriously, unless you want to have puppies from her to improve the breed, its a lot better to have her spayed 2/3mths after her first season.

Not giving the dog the operation is asking for trouble, and unwanted pets. Like cats, they are vulnerable at 6 months old. My cat is male, but I'm responsible for having him neutered to prevent him getting any female pregnant. I would say , I'm one of the few responsible pet owners. If you want to be stuck with a load of pups thats up to you.

As a general rule they come into heat at about 9 months of age.

Does she carry a Pedigree and come from a strong line? If she carries a Pedigree I wouldn't want to spay mine either, but if you have no intentions of partisapating in or are working towards a championship I would have her spayed.

If she doesn't have the Pedigree she may carry faults that she would pass on to any pups..

First heat can occur anywhere from 5 months to 18 months . It would be to everyones advantage to have her spayed asap.

Usually female dogs first go into heat at 6 months, but if you are
planning to breed her, wait until she is at least 2 years, then her body will be more fully developed, and her mental capacity.
Hope this helps you.

anywhere from 6-7 months are you planning on breeding her? you should wait until she's about 2 years old to do that tho, if not you really should fix her avoid infections in the future
