some worms you can see in their stool, they might look like rice but moving. Take a sample to your vet. They have them when born and also from eating a dead animal or infected animals poo. Sounds like your dog needs to see a vet anyway.

Dogs can pick up worms from fleas, ingesting animal waste(rabbit, cat etc),stepping or rubbing on contaminated ground or bedding, contaminated water. Most monthly heartworm preventatives can be purchased that cover other worms too. If you do think you dog has worms you'll need to clean up the poo and wash the bedding etc as well as get meds for treatment. You can take a stool sample in to the vet for testing.

The symptoms you describe are not indicative of worms..they can be signs of something more serious. You need to make an appointment for your dog to get a good exam.In addition take a stool sample in to be tested.
Dogs do get worms and there is no way to prevent it from happening. This is why it is important to have a fecal test done at least twice a year.

****Heartworm has absolutely NOTHING to do with any other types of worms and is not contracted in the same way. The only way to get heartworms is from a bite from an infected mosquito.********

Dogs usually get worms from the feces of an infected animal. Do you often take her to a dog park? There is monthly heart worm medicine to prevent heart worm. Talk to your vet.

Dogs can get worms from being outdoors, so keep a very close eye on her. If nothing has changed contact a vet and discibe the symptoms and get a check up (vet might perscribe medicine).

dogs can get worms from all kinds of things, like eating grass. if your dog is young, i would take a stool sample to your vet, if she has diahrea and vomiting she might have parvo.. which can be fatal.
