How do u know he was drunk?
Who was the source that know he was drunk at the time when its only him and his daugthers inside the cave?
He probably lied to justify fking his daughters

He was probably a little out of it considering his wife was just turned to stone by God. My guess is that he was a little peeved at the Lord at that time, and decided to just go with it.
I wouldn't want to be him the next morning though, imagine waking up with that hangover, turning over and seeing your daughters there?
