NASCAR discovered this substance inside the manifold of the car and they sent it to their research and development center and they found that it was a fuel additive and it helped the car run better at higher RPMs and that is a deffinate advantage on the race track. Michael's Crew Chief got suspended indeffinately and so did one of his teams diretors, and the Crew Chief and maybe the director got fined $100,000, and Michael's team got docked 100 driver and owner points, and he still raced his way into the Daytona 500 during the first duel, and after a brush with Dale Jr. they both had great finishes.

Michael Waltrip is in the hole 100 points before the season has even started, because his car didn't pass a Nascar inspection. There was a substance similar to jet fuel found in his Camry's fuel system. The substance had octane boosting properties that Nascar felt gave him an unfair advantage after their inspection. It's going to be hard for him to overcome publicity like this, so early on in the season. He'll be lucky if NAPA doesn't drop him.

nascar officials found a gel like substance inside the intake manifold after sundays qualifying. It was reportedly to have contained the same properties as in rocket fuel not jet fuel. Jet fuel and gasoline are not compatible. So it wouldn't have done any good to be jet fuel. Waltrip claims it was a type of grease.

How dumb do you have to be to attempt to pull off such an inexusable illegal tactic like this? Especially when you are a first time owner of a team. I imagine Team Toyota is very disappointed with Mikey and the team as I am. I have always been a fan of Mikey, but moves like this will cause me to be rooting against him and I am sure I am not alone.

During inspection they smelled something in the engine and removed the manifold, found there to be a substance in there that was also in jet fuel. Something added to the fuel NOT in NASCAR's rules.

They found jet fuel additive in his intake manifold. Prior to being nailed, he lied on national television saying that he had the best engine builders and mechanics and that he's sure its nothing, even though he knew what they did.
