Hummm if you would have spayed your cat you would not be having this problem!! You must feed the kittens yourself the mother is not mature enough to care for them. You will have to remove the sacks and remove the mucas from the nose so that they can breath. Good luck you will need it

If at all possible, will your cat let you put the kitten to the nipple if you hold her and give her some tuna or something? Yeah, it would be best for the kitten to at least be able to nurse some to start. You might want to get the mother checked by the Vet to rule out anything that may be bothering her that would cause her to not pay attn to her kittens.
As far as what to feed if the kitten needs a supplement, feed KMR kitten formula which is available at pet stores and feed stores. You will have to help the kitten go to the bathroom by massaging the areas where it goes to the bathroom with a soft cloth or large cotton ball dipped in lukewarm water until the kitten goes. This you will need to do if the mother does not lick it which is what a cat would normally do after each feeding and sometimes in between. The kitten can die if this isn't done by the mother or by you. GL with your kitten.
I used bottles to bottle raise some kittens that were newborn and thrown out in a dumpster. I used KMR, nursing bottles I got at a pet store which I used a hot needle to widen the nipple flow just a bit. I fed them every few hours around the clock to start. Also, the kitten needs to stay warm with caution that it doesn't get to hot. I set a heating pad in a container and wrapped it in a towel. Set it on medium to get it warm and then turned it to lo and kept it there.
You don't want the kitten getting too hot or getting directly on the pad.
I put a towel over the container to keep it quieter, darker and warm. Hopefully the mother cat will feed the kitten. A Vet check is the best bet ASAP.

I agree with those who said the momma is too young to be a mom. You'll need to bottle feed the baby, (you can get milk replacement at a vets office or even at the local grocery store if you can't get to a vets right away. They also sell the little bottles, if not, use an eyedropper. Mom's milk is best, but you cannot force a cat to nurse its kittens. On the off chance you're out in the boonies and can't even get to a grocery, you can temporarily make a mixture out of raw egg, evaporated milk and karo syrup. It will keep the kitten alive until you can secure the correct milk replacement. You can call the vet and find out if they know of any new momma cats that might nurse your baby too, that would be great. Otherwise, you'll need to be the mom, feed it, wipe it's little tushy after it eats with a cotton ball soaked in warm water to get it to go potty, all that fun stuff. Remember, not only is the feeding important, the potty is extremely important. If you don't stimulate the baby to go potty, it won't, and then won't survive. Good luck.

A major reason a cat may abandon its kin is because the kittens may have been handled to much by humans and have their scent on them, however this is generally rare. We had a cat that did this often, we thought she was going to abandon them, but she was just regulating the feeding sessions. (As told by the vet.) However keep an eye on the kittens and the mother for another 12-24 hours and see if she takes ANY interest at all in them, at night lock her in with the kittens. (In a closet or bathroom.) If worst comes to worst, bottle feed. Do not feed dairy milk, it is bad for them. Give them condensed milk or talk to the local vet. GOOD LUCK!

Bottle feed him people have to do this all the time. There are supplements you can get at the pet store. Pet Smart, Feeder's Supply to name a couple. Call a animal hospital they will give you suggestions. You have to do something or they will starve to death! It is very natural that if a mother cat or dog has one die in the litter that she doesn't accept the others. I don't know why it is just what I have learned and also have seen it quite a bit on Animal Planet. Feed those babies!!

I grew up on a farm with alot of cats. It's my experience that most 1st time mothers do not know what to do. Alot of times, their first litter does die because they dont know how to take care of them. Definatley call the vet and get their opinion. They will usually advise you over the phone. There are special formulas that you can purchase and feed the kitten with a small bottle. Hope this helps!

she probably doesn't know what to do. you can go to the pet store and pick up some kitten formula and get a bottle for the kitten to. you'll have to feed it every two hours until it is full and then make sure that the kitten stays warm. if she hasn't fed him in the two hours since he was born she probably wont feed him. my mother cat did the same thing.

i would take the momma cat and the kitten to the vet to get checked out. if this is her first litter she may not get the whole being a mother thing. the vet will probably have you use a dropper with formula to feed the kitten.

She has rejected it for some reason, maybe she is too young and dosnt know what to do. Anyway you will have to get formula and hand raise this kitten, keep it warm try and get some milk from mum and try and feed it with a syring, dont force it down its lungs though or it will drown, try and get some formula ASAP.

You can not make your cat feed the baby. You need to get it food or else it will die. I think your cat might not have been ready to have kittens. You could either go and buy some milk re-placer for it or you could go to the vet and ask them to help, they would probably have some milk re-placer or something else you could use. HURRY.
