What I meant by extreamist positions of his faith was that he was Jewish and he found the Jewish religion of his time to be full of corruption.

Jhn 2:13 And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,
14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;
16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.

What he wanted to change was the corruption that man was trying to pass off as holy.

Extremist positions of his faith? I don’t think that extremist positions have anything to do with faith.

Jesus repeatedly said he was the light of the world, of course he came to right wrongs. Jesus crying out to God, why hast thou forsaken me comes from Psalm 22. It is a fulfillment of the scripture especially verses 1&16.

Yes and no;the pharisees of that time were changing the original laws of God so He cleaned house.Jesus came and said not to destroy the laws but to fullfill.But yes He also came to pronounce "grace"which means the old laws still applies but now you can be saved and forgiven thru the cross and blood of Jesus.I still baffle why this is so;I personally would never want to hurt anyone but............when the homos. keep pushing to march all over and flaunt; if I was there I would be tempted to literally try to stop it because the wrath of God will come upon that city or country that allows it.
