While some of them turn around (well, at least Christians) and state that Christianity is not a religion... *roll eyes*

properly it relatively is. It genuinely isn't technological know-how like chemistry. you won't be in a position to coach something approximately complicated life types yet. Have some examples to coach me on human beings? did you already know that once Psychologists tried to coach that folk act a undeniable way simply by fact of ways they looked. it relatively is a actuality of technological know-how. it is likewise a actuality human beings as quickly as believed (wrongly of direction) that Pluto replaced right into a planet and that the photograph voltaic gadget had 9 planets. We now understand, of direction, the photograph voltaic gadget purely has 8 planets. this is SOOOO annoying to have self belief those MORONIC human beings from the distant previous, you already know, the 1930's, 1940's, 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, 1980's, 1990's -- them previous adult men easily believed there have been 9 planets! Ah Superstition positioned to relax!

They are not discrediting atheism by calling it a religion. They are just trying to show what they see to be a contradiction when atheists oppose religion. Also when atheists try to prevent any religious activity in government sponsered programs. The religioius people say: "Hey! what you fols are doing is religion too!"
I don't agree that atheism is a religion, but I agree with the argument that sometimes things are pretty one-sided when religious activity or symbolism is blocked - it's part of the American culture - and nobody is trying to block any activity or symbolism that could be related to atheism. I believe in freedom of religion, and freedom of thought.
We used to say communism was a religion. And that is true. In fact in the USSR the worship of Lenin was encouraged - although they wouldn't have worded it that way. In schools, teaching about communism was done in the same way we teach about religion.

It is a religion in that it assumes there is some extra-personal authority (natural laws) that define its moral codes. This in itself is a logical contradiction in terms.
For atheists to claim any sort of moral code is to, by definition, accept that a higher moral authority exists. How is that possible if one believes in "nothing"?
Yet, literally, for atheists, having Aunt Betty over for dinner is just as easily Having Aunt Better for dinner, as there is no moral absolutes in atheist philosophy. Unfortunately, those in this forum who are the loudest and most flippant, have not taken the time to seek formal learning of what they so easily espouse. They merely parrot back what they have heard or read without any synthesis of the issues.
Atheists, like all of the non-righteous before God have had their will to reason clouded by the sinful nature that befell all mankind at the Fall. Hence, they are unable to reason properly and see the truth of God's revelation.

Since 'atheism' makes an absolute statement "there is no God".
The only way that 'atheism' can be true, is for the "believer" to have absolute knowledge of all things in, on, and around this planet.
Let's start calling these people what they really are - 'Agnostics' - because they "believe or have the opinion that there is no God".

Absolutely. I have no religion. Period. Religious people have a real hard time grasping that fact.

Is it ironic when an atheist who doesn't care about God because they believe there is no God, to constantly bash those who?
Does an atheist go preaching the their beliefs?
There is nothing to gain for an atheist to worry about believers. There is everything to gain for a believer to worry about atheists.
